Questions parents ask
What age is it for?
Glowbug is made for little ones from about 6 months to 3 years, and the parents sitting next to them. Pick your child’s age in the parent area and Glowbug shows the worlds that suit it: bold shapes and peekaboo for babies, music and painting from about one, matching and building from about two. It’s a rough guide, not a rule; every world is gentle for any little one.
Is it free?
Yes. Six worlds (Bubble Dreams, Moonlight Magic, Ocean Friends, plus Peekaboo Pals, Tiny Band and Shape Friends, one for each age group), 30 games from the game library (10 for each age group), Magic Journey, Moment Snapshots and every parent control are free forever, with no ads and no account. Glowbug Plus is an optional subscription that adds six more worlds (First Shapes, Rainbow Paint, Block Tower, Animal Garden, Magic Garden and Little Space), the other 120 library games, every new world as it arrives, extra keepsake styles and settings on every device. It is offered only to grown-ups, never inside Child Mode.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the first visit Glowbug keeps a copy on your device, so it works on a plane, in the car or anywhere without signal. Installing it to your home screen makes this even smoother.
Are there ads?
No. There are no ads, pop-ups, external links or purchase buttons inside Child Mode, and no advertising trackers anywhere. Website visits are counted anonymously, without cookies, and never inside Child Mode.
Does it require an account?
No. Open it and play: there is no sign-up and no child profile. An account is optional and only for grown-ups who want Glowbug Plus or their settings on several devices. It needs just an email address.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. It is designed for phones first, then tablets, in portrait or landscape, and works in Chrome on Android and Safari on iPhone and iPad. It also runs on computers.
Can I control the session duration?
Yes. In the parent area pick a moment: Quick Anchor (5 minutes), Morning Helper (10), Bedtime Bridge (15), unlimited, or your own custom length. When time is up the world slows down, the sound fades, and a quiet message appears for you, not your child.
Will it suddenly make noise?
No. Glowbug always opens silent, so you can start it in a cafe or next to a sleeping sibling without worry. Tap "Silent · tap for sound" when you want the soft music and effects; it stays on until you close Glowbug.
What is the little glowing friend?
That is Glowbug, a tiny companion who lives in every world. It drifts along, looks toward little fingers and does a happy wiggle when touched. It has no levels, needs or rewards; it is simply there, like a night-light with a face.
Does it vibrate?
On Android phones Glowbug adds tiny, soft vibrations to some touches, like a bubble pop or a passing whale. They are short, never continuous, and can be switched off in the parent area. iPhone and iPad browsers do not support web vibration, so there it is visual and sound only.
How do I leave Child Mode?
Press and hold the small moon in the top corner for two seconds. That opens a grown-up menu where you can pause, switch worlds, change sound or leave.
